Aftercare in organ grafted patients still focuses on prevention and therapy of organ rejection. Facing increasing incidence of skin infections and skin cancer in organ transplant patients, nowadays regular dermatological checkups become more and more important.
The SCOP-Network was founded in December 2000 as an interdisciplinary Network of dermatologists, transplant physicians, patient support groups and basic researchers to match the increasing needs of qualified dermatological aftercare in this fascinating field of modern medicine. Moreover the network collects epidemiologic data on the incidence and prevalence of skin diseases and finally serve in the development of new prophylactic methods as well as new therapeutic strategies.Meanwhile Networks exist on national - (France, Italy, Germany) and European Level and is internationally in close cooperation with the North-American and Australian ITSCC (International Skin Cancer in Organ Transplant Patients Collaborative Group).

On the following pages we offer an overview on our current working process, as well as information for patients, colleagues and researchers likewise.

Thank you for your interest.
